RETIRAL
After 28 years as Headteacher of Dalmarnock Primary School, I have decided to retire at the end of this term. I would like to thank staff, parents and children – present and past for their support
PARENTAL SURVEY – Thanks to all parents who took the time to complete and return our surveys. 98% of returns were very happy with our school, 2% had concerns for their own children and the school will address these issues individually. Next year communication will further improve with the setting up of Parent Councils in schools.
Looking for ideas for healthy packed lunches? Like some health promotion information? then look no further ! – On the 6th June we are having a Health Promotion Day –Watch out for more information on this event.
Our new Fruit Trolley selling a selection of fruit daily at only 10p per piece of fruit is proving to be very popular with the children (and staff!). Help your child to have their ‘5 a day’ by encouraging them to have fruit at break time.

DALMARNOCK PRIMARY AUGUST 05 NEWS
Welcome back to a new year in Dalmarnock Primary, and a special welcome to all our new P1’s who are with us mornings ony at the moment. This year we will face many challenges as we try to improve our National Testing results and increase our Attendance levels. I am sure you all will co-operate to help us achieve these targets, and hopefully some time in the new year we may see some building work starting on our new school!

As usual I start off the new term with a few reminders to parents:-
UNIFORM – Our pupil council have introduced a reward scheme this year - if a child wears the standard uniform (Royal Blue Sweatshirt/and or PoloShirt) every day they will receive a raffle ticket on a Friday and they could be a winner from their class of the Gold Tuck Shop Voucher. 2 Winners per class per week.

TUCK – Maximum of 65p to be spent at the tuck shop. Our tuck shop prices are - juice 20p, packet of crisps 30p, small chocolate bar 10p. We will now allow children to bring into school for tuck, plastic bottles of WATER ONLY – NO FIZZY JUICE- if you give your child a bottle/can of fizzy juice they will not be allowed to take this into the playground.

(T Shirt, Shorts & Gym shoes) on their allocated day and has no jewellery on that day (please make sure earings, rings etc are removed and kept at home).

PARENT’S SURGERY - This again will run alternate weeks in the Main Building and Annexe. Not many parents made use of this last year and I would urge you to drop in between 2pm – 2.45pm on a Monday if you have any issues regarding the school or your child’s education that you would like to raise with a member of our Senior Management Team. Main Building Mon Sept 5th,
Annexe Sept 12th.
